Both the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and Lincoln police confirm serving search warrants on several smoke and vape shops recently.

Investigators seized several items suspected to be illegal in Nebraska.

Lincoln spokesperson Erika Thomas said three of the 50 Shades of Green locations were searched, The Cannabis Factory and The Kind of Life Dispensary in South Lincoln.

"Investigators seized items associated with sales, including plant materials, edibles, paraphernalia and financial records," Thomas said.

Thomas said their investigation started in January.

"Based on product advertisements brought to our attention by Lincoln citizens, spot checks on ten smoke shops occurred in January, February and March. Based on lab testing, five were determined to be selling statutorily prohibited substances," Thomas said.

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office also conducted similar raids at stores in Gretna, Bellevue and Papillion.

"That gives me hope because it's kind of just been flying under the radar," Jeanne Greisen said.

Greisen of Revival Pharms and other hemp growers have been sounding the alarm about products at some stores for months.

"There's Delta 8, there's Delta 10, there's Delta 11. I don't know where they're getting this stuff. I don't know how it's legal," Greisen said.

Greisen is a licensed pharmacist. She said her products and reputable growers are tested five times and consumers can track that.

"There is definitely adulterated products that are available on the market. And as consumers, you need to know what is in your product, and you need to be very careful about what you're buying to make sure that your product is safe," Greisen said.

"If they are not providing that kind of information, I would suggest you not buy that product," Greisen said.

Lincoln police said all of the stores searched remain in operation, and so far, there have been no citations or arrests.

"At least 75 vape smoke shops in Lincoln currently. So it's quite possible that others will be visited and additional checks will be completed," Thomas said.

KETV Investigates reached out to the stores that were searched. Fifty Shades of Green said in a statement, "We are under legal counsel, and have provided your information to our legal team."
